What Makes the PXG 0811XF Driver Special?
Like the rest of PXG’s products the 0811XF driver has been born out of a desire to see the very best possible golf club brought into the world. The engineers and designers at PXG have spared no expense in the development of this masterpiece.
Along with the 0811XF there are also the 0811, the 0811X and the 0811LX to choose from depending on the individual needs of each golfer and what they want their club to do. That said, the amount of adjustability and customisation on offer makes this range hard to beat. The names may be basic but the clubs are spectacular.
The PXG 0811XF Driver - For Extra Forgiveness
The whole PXG driver range is highly customisable but building off the same platform does create some limitations. To get to the extremes of forgiveness the PXG team brought forth the 0811XF and designed it to be able to reach levels that the other drivers could not. The 0811XF has a larger head than the rest and the club face has more surface area to maximise the possible places the ball can be struck and still travel straight. The center of gravity has been placed in such a way to enable the golfer to make contact with the ball while the face is square again, further increasing the possibility of hitting the ball straight and long.
The clubface has been created using a high strength titanium alloy that is as thin as possible removing excess weight from the front of the club that has then been redistributed to improve the centre of gravity. The low center of gravity gives the 0811XF maximum MOI that further assists in reducing twisting and torsion through the swing and promotes even greater distance with lower spin. An adjustable hosel gives every golfer the opportunity to change the loft of the club by up to 1 ½ degrees.
