The PXG 0811 Driver Technology
Beyond the unique look of the PXG 0811 driver is a whole world of possibility. The first thing you notice are the weights that are studded around the sole. These, like everything PXG create, are fully functional. More specifically they are 16 individual tungsten and titanium weights that can be positioned to alter the launch conditions of the club. The platinum coloured weights are high density tungsten while the black weights are low density titanium. Move the higher mass weights forward and lower the launch, move them to wither side to alter fade/draw or place them at the rear of the clubhead and achieve greater height.
Precision is the byword of the 0811 driver so the hosel can be adjusted by 1 ½ degrees to optimise loft depending on your personal preference. The clubhead is cast incredibly thin from Ti 8-1-1 to a very exacting tolerance to maximise volume without increasing overall weight. The club face is a triumph of engineering as it perfectly balances strength with flexibility and extremely low weight. All of this saved weight allows the PXG engineers to decide where to place the center of gravity for the greatest effect.
