Finding way to improve on the previous iteration of the TaylorMade M2 irons could not have been easy. The old M2 irons were designed with distance and speed in mind and anyone who played with these clubs knows they achieved this with aplomb. For 2017 the m2 irons have had speed and consistency added into the design brief making them even more playable for golfers of all levels.
M2 Irons Now Have a Lower CoG
The top edge has been reduced in size to push the Center of Gravity (CoG) lower while face slots have been included to increase the flexibility of the clubface. These tweaks have produced an iron that will still deliver distance and forgiveness if the ball is hit off center. CoG is further lowered using the new deeper fluted hosel that now features 6 flutes instead of 8. The new Geocustic badge has dampening qualities that reduce the amount of vibration in the club. This reduction in vibration creates a great sound and makes the club feel smoother.
