TaylorMade Spider Mini Putter Review
The Spider putter range has arguably been TaylorMades biggest success story over the last few years. With its red colour and distinctive head design they’re hard to miss but it would appear, however, that this look isn’t for everyone so TaylorMade have responded with the Spider Mini. Like the larger version, this putter features a high MOI and is as stable through the stroke but the smaller, more compact design is a little easier on the eye for those who are turned off by the larger headed putters on the market.
Having taken the putter out for a spin, it’s fair to say that TaylorMade have nailed it with the head design. The t-line alignment aid on the top of the head is great for lining the ball up and the head is a very compact shape. As with other TM and now Odyssey models red is going to be the colour (unlike Manchester) many golfers opt for but there is a diamond silver finish which looks great. The stock grip is the SuperStroke pistol GTR 1.0 which comes in TM’s own Spider colours which is great for those using more modern putting grips.
